Recording time for a shared shift

Creating a sharedGroup shiftShift

Creating a sharedgroup shift is very similar to creating a regular shiftshift, except that when appropriate, this allows you to have more than one person on the same shift.

To create a sharedgroup shift,

  1. From the home page, click on Start Group Shift or on eTime Live, select the icon with two people to start a shared shift.
  2. Select the participants in that shift
    • Only participants that have a shared job between them can be selected together.
    • If only one of the participants in this group is available for this shift, do not select a group shift. Instead select an individual shift with that participant
    • Once a participant is selected, participants who do not have a shared job with the selected participants will be grayed out.
  3. Select the shared job from the list.
    • The sharedgroup jobs listed on this screen, are the only jobs available for the combination of the selected participants.
  4. If the selected job and method are EVV Required, select a start location for each participant.
    • If this is the shift is taking place at one of the participants' home, select home for that participant and community for everyone else.
    • If the participants are siblings or live in the same household, you can select home for all of them
    • If the shift is not taking place at any of the participants, you can select community for all of them.
  5. Review the selections made. Click Add to finish starting the shift.

Edit a Shift

If during a shift there is a change in location or or number of participants, you should end the current shift and start a new one with the current shift details.

  1. From eTime Live, navigate to and select the running shared shift.
  2. Fill in all required information for each participant.
    • Activities are required for COMHAB and SEMP (Job Coach and Job Developer) jobs and these are added separately for each participant.
    • Activities are not required when submitting Time Off.
    • Adding a meeting, training, or other event to one of the participants, will apply the same to all other participants in the shift.

Submit a Shift

Shifts are submitted for approval on an individual basis.

  1. From the homepage, use the green "End Shift" button, or when viewing the shift in eTime Live, click the End Shift button
  2. Verify all information is completed and correct for the shift.
    • If the selected job and method are EVV Required, select a end location for each participant.
  3. Click Submit.
